The tree is a small tribute to Andrew Wyeth. As I'm a longtime fan of his work, it's inspired by
a tree from a painting he did of the winter
at Valley Forge. I thought it also mimicked BoxJam's pose and outstretched hands
effectively. I said that half the time in drawing BoxJam's Doodle is in composition. The other half is shading. A third half is where I do everything else, I guess. Note - this is also where I add BoxJam's trademark mole. |
